2011, MAY - Received the Dharma Sabha Honour’s Award for sterling contribution to the advancement of Hindu religion and culture presented by Indian Consul General Mr. Anil Kumar Sharan, Durban
2007 - Produced, directed and acted as Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in dance drama Shri Jagannathastakam.
2006 May - performed kirtan at the United Nations, New York for the presentation and talk by HH Sacinandana Swami on The Kailash Tour.

2003 - launched Urja Music her own music label cum production company.
1996, JANUARY - First prize in the finals of the Speech contest organised by the Indo-American Society, Mumbai
1997 - Sang before the legendary Pakistani singer Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Saheb in Mumbai.
1995, JULY 10th - honoured with certificate of Recognition for distinguised and dedicated service to Hindu Dharma at World Hindu Conference in Durban, South Africa.
1995 - Performed before 50 000 at the historical World Hindu Conference, Durban, South Africa along with Pandit Hrdaynath Mangeshkar, Pandit Shivkumar Sharma, Shri M. Pithukuli Murgadas.
1991, APRIL 27th - Received citation from Radio Lotus, the Indian service of the South African Broadcasting Corporation on behalf of the Indian Community of South Africa for consistently excellent entertainment, presented in Durban by Fakir Hassen, manager Radio Lotus.
1991- performed in StarNite 91 organised by Alliance of Hindu Student Associations with playback singers Abhijeeth, Shabeer Kumar, Chandrani Mukherjee, Guddi, Sumeet Saigal, Madhavi, Kumar Sanu, Usha Mangeshkar, and The Malik Brothers in South Africa.
1989-1991 - signed by Venus Records & Tapes PVT. LTD. Mumbai as resident recording artiste under the direction of H&R manager Mr. Hashmi. First S.African artiste to be signed by an Indian music label.
1988 - performed a Hindi solo devotional song in the first Diwali broadcast on SABC ONE for the Indian community in South Africa.
1984 - recorded first album of original songs Sneha in Mumbai composed and arranged by Sayed Ali with lyrics by Zaheer Anwar. First S.African artiste to record an original album of songs in India with Indian artistes.
1980 - first studio recording of “Popular Film Hits” in Mumbai with live musicians.
1976, APRIL 7th - Silver Certificate from M.L. Sultan Technical College for gaining the highest aggregate in the intermediate division of the Speech and Drama Eisteddfod.
1978, 9 October - The Fabulous Shashika Mooruth Show at Durban City Hall in aid of Chatsworth Child & Family Welfare Society produced by Mr. Aniruth Mooruth and directed by Shashika Mooruth.
1977 - Performed at the first ISKCON Janmasthami celebrations at Unit 3B grounds attended by 25 000 people.
1977, June 26th - performed before a crowd of 50 000 people at Unit 3b Football Ground, Chatsworth for Milk Carnival organised by Durban Milk Publicity Council courtesy of Mr. Amichand Rajbansi.
1977 - performed a duet with playback legend Shri Mahendra Kapoor at Shah Jehan Cinema. First S.African to share the stage in a duet with the playback singer from India.
1976 - Performed on stage Kishore Kumar Nite and became the first S.A. African artiste to be invited by a renowned and legendary playback singer Shri Kishore Kumar to be part of his concert.
1976 - First position for Prepared Mime (Intermediate) at the Speech and Drama Eistedfod at M.L. Sultan Technical College.
1975 - Gold Medal and first prize for singing in Junior Section at the Hindi Shiksha Sangh, South Africa, Hindi Eistedfod.
1974 - Silver Medal and second prize for singing in Junior section at the Hindi Shiksha Sangh, South Africa, Hindi Eistedfod finals.
